alda v1.4.4
alda v1.4.4 A music programming language for musicians. New to Alda? You may be interested in reading this blog post as an introduction. Inspired by other music/audio programming languages such as PPMCK, LilyPond and ChucK, Alda aims to be a powerful and flexible programming language for the musician who wants to easily compose and generate music on the fly, using only a text editor. Alda is designed in a way that equally favors aesthetics, flexibility and ease of use, with (eventual) support for the text-based creation of all manner of music: classical, popular, chiptune, electroacoustic, and more! Features Easy to understand, markup-like syntax Designed for musicians who don't know how to program, and programmers who don't know how to music A score is a text file that can be played using the alda command-line tool Interactive REPL lets you enter Alda code and hear the results in real time Supports writing music programmatically (for algorithmic composition, live coding, etc.) Create MIDI music using any of the instruments in the General MIDI Sound Set Installation You must have Java 8+ installed on your system in order to run Alda. Download HERE. (Chances are, you already have a recent enough version of Java installed.) Windows Installation: Download alda.exe. at the bottom of the page Make the file executable: Go to your downloads folder, right click alda.exe to open up its file properties, and click unblock Copy alda.exe to a location that makes sense for you. Firefox Environment Backup Extension (FEBE) 8.9.3.1
Firefox Environment Backup Extension (FEBE) 8.9.3.1 FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your extensions individually into installable .xpi files. Now you can easily synchronize your office and home browsers. FEBE backs up and restores your extensions, themes, and (optionally) your bookmarks, preferences, cookies. and much more. Backup as little or as much of your Firefox environment as you wish. Perform backups on demand or schedule daily, weekly, or monthly unattended runs. Sequential backups can be stored in timestamped directories so you can restore back as far as you like. You may specify "User-defined" items to have FEBE backup Thunderbird, Greasemonkey scripts, or virtually any data on your computer - Firefox related or not. Version history (FEBE 8.0) November 11, 2016: Version 8.9.3.1 (1,375 kb) Fix for browser history restore. For Firefox v49.0 - v51.0a2

Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS
Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS Impro-Visor (short for “Improvisation Advisor”) is a music notation program designed to help jazz musicians compose and hear solos similar to ones that might be improvised. The objective is to improve understanding of solo construction and tune chord changes. There are other, secondary, things it can do, such as improvise on its own. It has also been used for transcription. Because rhythm-section (e.g. piano, bass, drums) accompaniment is automatically generated from chords, Impro-Visor can be used as a play-along device. Now having a wider array of accompaniment styles, its use is not limited to jazz. Partial List of Features: Lead sheets and solos can be constructed through either point-and-click or using a plain text editor (one is provided, but any editor can be used). Optional automatic note coloration shows whether notes are consonant or dissonant with chords and scales. Chords may also be entered quickly through a "roadmap" editor, which also analyzes chord changes for implied keys and idiomatic progressions ("bricks"). Harmonic note entry option guides the user to select notes that are consonant with harmony. Similarly, transposition options provide chromatic or harmonic transposition. Solos or solo fragments can be played back immediately on the computer, with automatic rhythm section accompaniment. Can be used for self-study, classroom, or play-along. Any segment of a leadsheet can be played back in looped mode. Users can define new accompaniment styles. There is spreadsheet-like Style Editor, and a Style Extractor facility that helps create styles from MIDI performances. . Solos and heads may be exported as MIDI files, with accompaniment if desired. Solos and heads may be exported as MusicXML, for import to other popular music notation software. It is not necessary that the soloist memorize the solos that are created in Impro-Visor. The act of constructing solos is intended to help one get a better understanding of the tune ...

Morse Code Tools v5.1
Morse Code Tools v5.1 Listen to news and send with a software keyer. Morse News Morse News periodically reads one or more RSS/Atom (news) and/or Twitter timelines/direct messages then translates the received messages into precisely timed International (radio) or American (railroad) Morse code. The Morse code can be played as CW radio tones, old-fashioned spark-gap sounds, telegraph sounder click/clack sounds, or to a physical telegraph sounder connected to a serial port. Split speeds are supported for Farnsworth effects. American code generation includes timing nuances that make it sound natural. The CW and spark-gap sounds can optionally be enhanced with realistic noise, static crashes, and ionospheric-style Raleigh fading. Audio support includes optional low-latency ASIO sound support, inspired by Chuck Vaughan AA0HW for crisp tone keying at QRQ speeds. For museum or other kiosk type use, the Direct Message twitter feed will let your guests send a Twitter message from their mobile phone and have it come out in Morse code. Morse Keyer Morse Keyer is a software keyer that can be keyed via the mouse or a key/paddle connected to a serial port or the Ham Radio Solutions VBand USB Paddle Adapter. It supports straight keying, semi-automatic (bug) keying, and Iambic A or B mode automatic keying. The Morse code can be played as CW radio tones or telegraph sounder click/clack sounds, and low-latency ASIO sound driver output is supported. Optionally, the keyer can key an external telegraph sounder or loop, or a ham rig (while still playing the sound). Since it supports semi-auto keying, it can be used to send American morse code (a single-lever paddle is best for this). It's design can support low-latency audio systems (ASIO) and produces precise timing even at high QRQ speeds. See the article referenced below. Click here to visit the author's website.
